Tea Party for the Queen

For the launch of our new topic "Bright Lights, Big City" the children learnt all about the Queen and the Royal Family. We wrote lots of questions we wanted to ask her, wrote a letter to her thanking her for coming to our school, and made cucumber sandwiches for her arrival!

On Friday 1st November we dress up in our best clothes and learnt how to sing the National Anthem for her arrival. When the Queen (aka Simon!) came, we sang and asked our questions and had a lovely, civilised tea party with our sandwiches and scones and cream. We had a brilliant afternoon!

Teddy Bears' Picnic

09.09.29: Year 1 would like to thank their grown-ups, younger brothers and sisters, cousins and not forgetting their Teddies, for coming to their Teddy Bears’ Picnic. We had a fantastic afternoon and hope you enjoyed your time in our classroom.
